Large Group Course
Number of Students
There is a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 people on this course.
Course Level Requirements
The minimum level is Elementary with the highest level being Upper-Intermediate. Students of different levels are grouped together on this course.
What does the course do?
It is a 5 day intensive course designed to improve your communicative abilities in the “real” English-speaking world by interacting with it. With a full-time professional teacher guiding you along the way, you will practise your skills and language knowledge in real-life situations, learn to recognise your strengths and build on them, as well as notice and improve your weaknesses.
You will be given both group and individual tasks which will allow you to experience and deal with everyday interactive situations. Before and after each task there will be an in-depth learning and teaching session which will look at the language needed for the task at hand. As your confidence and ability grows, each task will become progressively more demanding.
The Large Group Course is a flexible course where both the students and teacher determine both the language and personal objectives. It is a course that suits people who want a relaxed and interactive learning experience, who want to have fun, and who like being in a sociable group dynamic.
At the end of this course you will have been given the confidence of using English in different real-life situations, and you will take away long-lasting memories of a great time on a wonderful island.
Course Fees
All large group courses are 375 GB Pound Sterling per person. A discount, however, can be given to group bookings. Full payment of is required 30 days before the start of the course to reserve your place and chosen dates.
Suggested Programme
Below is a general outline of what a typical Large Group Course might be like. However, the suggested programme should give you a good idea of what it would be like.
ARRIVAL
All courses begin on a Monday so we will expect you to arrive a day or so before in Portree. On the booking form you are asked to state your arrival in Scotland and your estimated arrival time in Portree, Skye. We will meet you when you arrive in Portree, take you to your accommodation and help you settle in.
